The waves

The Waves follows the journey of a group of friends from childhood to middle age. While the narrative is shaped by social events, personal successes and failures, what truly stands out in the novel is the deep and poetic language that reveals the inner life of its characters their aspirations, achievements and regrets, their sense of unity and solitude, and their inquiries into the meaning of life. Perhaps more than any other work by Woolf, The Waves delves into the endless complexities of human experience..
